As moms we already have limited time and energy. We are pulled here, there and everywhere and feel like there is just never enough time OR energy to actually declutter. Let alone the time and energy at the same time to get things done.
How much do you actually play with your kids versus how much you actually WANT to play with them?
You know I stalk you guys, right? Like I get to know you and your stories and what you’re struggling with and I used to be you – overwhelmed by too much stuff and then having the best of intentions and still staying stagnant and stuck under all the clutter.
Have you avoided decluttering because all you can see is the money spent on it all?? You’re not alone. This is such a common block when it comes to letting go of your clutter so today we are going to get to the root of how your clutter has cost you so much money over they years, how decluttering SAVES you money and how to shift your perspective of only seeing your clutter in the form of dollar signs.

My oldest daughter volunteered to answer several of your questions about decluttering from a kid’s perspective. She gives her best insight into what it’s like to live in a simplified home. She had a lot of fun with it, so much fun that she wants to start an entire series on how to help your kids do this for themselves, so watch for that coming soon!

NOT decluttering is actually more wasteful than decluttering – because when you declutter you are being brave and bold enough to actually look at your consumption habits and past shortcomings and realizing that you don’t actually have a problem of not enough, but a problem of too much.
This is NOT a parenting episode teaching you how to change or manage behavior in your kids. It is just my personal experience through teaching in many classrooms all over the country and within my own home and the anecdotal evidence I have collected that proves our environments can literally make or break us.

This episode is a series of truth bombs about how you are spending your time. I get it, we are moms, we juggle A LOT. But to wave your white flag in defeat and NOT do the things that will ultimately give you more time and energy is something I am passionate about pushing you through.
This episode is meant to prepare for how long it’s really going to take you to declutter your home. There is not a specific timeline BUT I help you realize why you have so much stuff, how much there really is so that you can understand WHY it is going to take you more than one weekend or purging ten bags of stuff.
In today’s episode we talk about the different seasons of motherhood and what they require of us. As moms they are constantly changing and evolving BUT we can also get stuck in believing that we can’t do certain things, or as much as we’d like because of that season.
Today we talk about the REAL issue behind your parents, grandparents, friends and others pushing their clutter onto you!! Yes, it’s frustrating BUT it is not your responsibility to take on their clutter and all their complex emotional ties with their clutter.
